Therapy with teens at Umbrella Insights is collaborative, respectful, and grounded in the belief that adolescence is a time of complexity, identity-building, and profound growth. We offer a space where teens can show up authentically, explore their experiences, and develop practical skills for navigating stress, relationships, emotions, and life transitions — without pressure, judgment, or expectation to be anything other than who they are.
Our practice is gender-affirming, and queer-friendly. We support teens in exploring and expressing their identities in ways that feel empowering and self-directed, and we work within a broader neuro- and diversity-affirming framework. This includes honoring different communication styles, emotional processes, and lived experiences. Our goal is to offer teens a therapeutic relationship that helps them feel understood, supported, and capable of shaping their own lives.
Our clinicians support teens experiencing anxiety, depression, substance use concerns or addiction, self-harm behaviors, and eating disorders, as well as those who are exploring identity or facing challenges at school, home, or in peer relationships. We integrate creative and evidence-informed approaches that can include talk therapy, expressive methods, and skill-based work depending on the teen’s needs and preferences.
