Individual therapy at Umbrella Insights offers a space to slow down, reflect, and make sense of what feels hard — whether rooted in past experiences, current stressors, or ways of being and coping that no longer feel helpful. We take a collaborative and trauma-informed approach, integrating psychodynamic and relational modalities to support both insight and change. Together, we work toward greater clarity, self-understanding, and emotional resilience in daily life.
Many clients seek individual therapy for concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, relationship difficulties, or a desire for personal growth. We work with individuals on issues related to sex and sexuality and work with people with non-normative lifestyles and identities (such as sex workers, people in kink & BDSM relationships, and those with non-normative relationship structures, such as non-monogamous or poly relationships).
We honour the complexity of each person’s inner world and respect the pace at which that exploration unfolds. Our goal is to co-create a therapeutic space where people feel understood, supported, and gently challenged in pursuit of deeper self-awareness and wellbeing.
